Job summary

Floridaairports is seeking a senior administrator to oversee casualty and property insurance management for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department airports. The role includes developing insurance requirements, coordinating with insurers, and managing risk analyses to safeguard department operations.

The incumbent will supervise staff, implement SOPs, handle budgets and audits, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3–5 years of professional administrative experience in casualty and property insurance management.
• Experience with cost and damage recovery, and public records management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage, organize, and process casualty and property insurance; develop and prepare insurance requirements and specifications; conduct risk management analyses.
• Oversee coordination with insurers and third‑party administrators; review premiums, self‑insurance, and Owner Controlled Insurance Programs.
• Direct recruitment, discipline, attendance, grievances, SOPs, budget, audits, and performance evaluations for staff.
• Administer an annual department expense budget of approximately $14 million.
