Job summary
The Sarasota Manatee Airport Authority is seeking a Firefighter - Paramedic to perform aircraft rescue and firefighting duties, first responder EMT and Paramedic tasks, and general fire prevention at the Airport Fire Department. Under Fire Captain supervision, you will respond to aircraft and ground incidents, provide medical care, maintain equipment, and support training programs.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience as an Aircraft Rescue Firefighter preferred.
- Live Fire Burn experience to comply with FAR Part 139, preferred.
- PALS and Paramedic certifications preferred.
- Valid Florida firefighter certification and NREMT/State Paramedic certification required.
Responsibilities
- Drive and operate aircraft rescue/firefighting apparatus to scenes.
- Ensure water supply, foam, and equipment are ready for response.
- Perform life-saving medical care and advanced life support.
- Inspect and maintain fire apparatus and equipment.
- Document incidents and training activities.
- Respond to emergencies and provide rapid patient assessment and care.
