Job summary

CTL Aerospace, Inc. is seeking an Aviation Repair QC Inspector at our northern Cincinnati, Ohio location. The role emphasizes inspecting turbine engine components, composite parts, and hardware, following FAA guidelines and NADCAP compliance.

A strong emphasis on precision measurements and process control. The ideal candidate will have experience in aerospace repair/manufacture, be familiar with standards, and able to perform multiple inspection types across stages of repair.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace or aviation repair/manufacture
• Familiar with codes, standards and contractual documents that control the method
• Proficient with calibrated measuring equipment and tools
• Willingness to perform various inspections (preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, final) as required by data and airworthiness directives
• DOT/FAA pre-employment drug test required for safety-sensitive position

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections and measurements per technical data and drawings.
• Evaluate hardware at designated steps throughout the repair process.
• Inspect hardware from outside processes and in-process operations.
• Conduct various inspections (preliminary, hidden damage, final) as directed by FAA and manufacturer data.

We are seeking talented professionals to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment as an Aviation Repair QC Inspector at our northern Cincinnati, Ohio location (less than 30 minutes from Dayton and/or northern Kentucky).

• Experience in aircraft turbine engine component repair.
• Experience in composite component manufacture or repair.
• Experience within aerospace or aviation repair or manufacture field.
• Proficient in the use of precision measuring hand tools to measure component defects.
• The ideal candidate will be flexible to perform other visual inspections as needed such as preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections on metal/composite civil aviation articles with the current technical data provided in the manufacture’s instructions for continued airworthiness, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable and approved by the FAA.
• Evaluation of hardware at designated steps throughout the repair process.
• Inspection of hardware from outside processes.

Job Requirements

• The individual will be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method in which is being performed.
• The individual will be able to organize, and inspection findings results and be familiar with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method being utilized.
• CMM
• Drug Free Workplace.
• FAA Regulations.
• Measurement Tools.
• Visual Inspection.
• Inspection in any field with the use of calibrated measuring equipment.
• Inspection in any field with composite/honeycomb, materials.
• Airframe and Powerplant license preferred (but not required).
• Aviation, aerospace, or industrial turbine engine manufacture/repair/inspection experience preferred.
• Must be able to work Monday - Friday

This position requires you to undergo a DOT/FAA pre-employment drug test for the following prohibited drugs (as defined in 49 CFR 40.3) prior to being hired or transferred into a Department of Transportation (DOT) safety-sensitive position as defined in 14 CFR part 120[1].
