Job summary

CTL Aerospace, Inc. in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a MRO Quality Control Supervisor. You will lead the QC team, maintain test documentation, and ensure compliance with FAA regulations while upholding safety and quality on site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise QC team to meet established quality standards.
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency of QC staff records and testing documentation.
• Monitor and enforce inspection and maintenance records and reports.
• Assist the department manager on projects as needed.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of calibrated tooling.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure safety of all employees within the department.
• Review and sign for return to service on repaired components and hardware.
• Develop or revise quality planning as required.
• Analyze customer requirements.
• Operate a CMM.
• Provide training for QC staff.
• Understand FAA regulations at high level.
• Basic proficiency with MS Word & Excel.
• Experience using gauges, micrometers, and calipers.

CTL Aerospace is a full service NADCAP certified composite-manufacturing company and MRO providing services to the major aerospace and governmental organizations since 1946. CTL MRO Division specializes in composite and metallic components for commercial aircraft engines.

We are seeking a talented professional to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment as a Quality Control (QC) Supervisor at our northern Cincinnati, Ohio location (less than 30 minutes from Dayton and/or northern Kentucky).

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a QC Supervisor to work in an empowered setting with a broad scope of authority.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have the following experiences and abilities:

• Supervise Quality Control team of employees to ensure they follow established quality standards.
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency of quality control staff record-keeping and quality testing documentation.
• Monitor and enforce proper inspection and maintenance records and reports.
• Assist the department manager on projects as needed.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of calibrated tooling.
• Ensure departmental compliance with all company policy and procedures.
• Ensure safety of all employees within the department.
• Perfection review and sign for “return to service” for repaired components & hardware.
• Develop and/or revise quality planning as required.
• Analyze customer’s requirements.
• Ability to operate a CMM.
• Provide training for QC staff members.
• High level understanding of FAA Regulations
• Basic working understanding of Microsoft Word & Excel.
• Experience using gages, micrometers, and calipers.

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

• 5 plus years of Quality Control experience.
• Ability to interact with people on the shop floor, good social skills, and able to work with diverse work groups.
• QC experience with aerospace parts preferred.
• Must have excellent communication skills both oral and written.
• Ability to be “hands‑on” and roll up sleeves to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

This position requires you to undergo a DOT/FAA pre-employment drug test for the following prohibited drugs (as defined in 49 CFR § 40.3) prior to being hired or transferred into a Department of Transportation (DOT) safety-sensitive position as defined in 14 CFR part 120[1]:
