Job summary

The Inland Group of Companies is hiring an Aircraft Ramp Agent at Portland (PDX). This part-time role offers $22.00 per hour with a Sun-Thu 4pm-8pm schedule and weekend availability. A SIDA airport badge and pre-employment drug screen are required.

You will help load/unload cargo, operate equipment safely, verify shipments and air waybills, and support on-time aircraft movement. A high school diploma is preferred, and English fluency is required for instructions and communications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English.
• Must be able to read and verbally direct in English.
• A valid driver’s license is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Properly and safely loads and unloads freight, including build up and break down of cargo pallets and freight containers.
• Operates equipment safely and holds equipment certifications.
• Obtains proper security documents for all shipments.
• Verifies shipment pieces, weight, dimensions and airworthiness on receipt from customer.
• Verifies shipment pieces and airway bill numbers on delivery to customer.
