Job summary

VSE Aviation, Inc. in Miramar, FL is seeking a Quality Inspector I to manage the inspection system and ensure compliance with FARs, CAAC, DGCA and customer requirements. You report to the Chief Inspector and have authority to release to service.

The role requires an Associate degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, or 2 additional years in lieu of the degree, plus an A&P license or ability to qualify for a Repairman license; strong measurement and MS Office skills are needed.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills with technicians and management.
• Relevant inspection experience and ability to apply FARs and manufacturer guidance.
• Proficiency with measurement tools and MS Office software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inspection procedures, vendor review, technical libraries, training records, FAR compliance, calibration, and record keeping.
• Ensure inspections are correctly performed and release documents are complete before returning to service.
• Maintain periodic checks and calibration of inspection tools and precision equipment.
• Verify that only serviceable parts are released and no unairworthy items are installed.
• Conduct periodic facility audits to ensure internal and external quality requirements.
• Assist in planning inspection standards and procedures per FARs, manufacturers’ guidance, and customer requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
