Joby Aviation is seeking a Quality Engineering Manager to lead a team of Quality Engineers within our California manufacturing footprint. You will report to the Senior Quality Engineering Manager and drive manufacturing controls, design controls, nonconformance management, risk management, data analytics, and product improvement to ensure the highest level of quality.

Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing functions, you will guide MRB and NPI activities, implement PFMEA and Control

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 8+ years in quality engineering or related field.
• In lieu of degree, minimum 11 years of experience in quality engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of direct people management experience.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, composite, or electrical systems and standard manufacturing controls.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop a team of Quality Engineers to ensure compliant manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with Quality Leadership to align with company goals.
• Identify issues early and coordinate escalation to protect production and compliance.
• Work with Quality Control, Supplier Quality, Metrology, and QA teams.
• Lead MRB processes and implement robust corrective actions.
• Support NPI to capture and implement PFMEA and Control Plans.
• Establish operational plans and ensure support to engineering and manufacturing.
• Provide documentation/records review and approvals.
• Build a culture of quality and develop quality personnel.
