Job summary

Tyonek is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to assure aircraft maintenance and modifications meet contract, regulatory, and quality requirements. You will inspect, measure, and document results using precise instruments and MS Office for record-keeping.

Applicants should hold an Active Secret Clearance, 8+ years in aircraft maintenance, AS9110 experience, and the ability to interpret technical orders and drawings. FAA A&P is preferred; expect on-site work in a safety-conscious team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• At least 8 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• Experience performing aircraft inspections in AS9110 or equivalent quality environment.
• Knowledge of DCMA 8210.1C and ability to interpret drawings and specs.
• Working knowledge of aircraft mechanical and avionics systems and calibration controls.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and document completed and in-process aircraft maintenance and modifications.
• Perform first article inspections and interpret drawings and technical data.
• Inspect, test, and measure materials and workmanship with appropriate equipment.
• Operate and maintain inspection equipment and verify calibration.
• Identify nonconformities, report findings, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate inspection records in paper or electronic systems.
• Ensure adherence to procedures and safety requirements; escalate issues as needed.
• Provide technical guidance to production personnel.
