Job summary

Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services in Tampa, FL seeks a Quality Control Supervisor to oversee inspection personnel and ensure all work passes inspection prior to return to service. You will manage inspection records and repair orders for items processed at the repair station.

The role requires an FAA A&P license, at least 3 years in supervisory quality/maintenance and inspection experience, with the ability to obtain NDI certifications and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must hold FAA Aircraft & Powerplant license (A&P).
• Minimum 3 years in supervisory roles in Quality and/or maintenance.
• Minimum 3 years in an inspection capacity.
• Ability to obtain specific NDI Certifications.
• Valid driver’s license required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all inspection personnel in the Quality Department and ensure inspections are completed and records are correctly executed.
• Manage collection of repair orders and inspection forms for articles processed at the repair station.
• Ensure inspectors’ activities comply with repair manuals, service bulletins and Airworthiness Directives.

Job description

This position reports directly to the Quality Manager on all matters concerning the operation of the Quality Control and inspection systems.

Minimum Requirements And Qualification

• Post HS education or equivalent with FAA Aircraft & Powerplant license.
• Three (3) years in supervisory positions of increasing responsibility in Quality and/or maintenance.
• Three (3) years in an inspection capacity.
• Ability to obtain specific NDI Certifications.
• A valid driver’s license is required for this position.

Major Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist; supervise all inspection personnel assigned to the Quality Department. Assure all inspections are properly performed on all completed work before it is returned to service and that inspection records, reports; and forms used by the Repair Station are correctly executed.
• Manage the collection and repair orders and inspection forms pertaining to articles processed at the repair station.
• Assure that inspector’s activities are in compliance with repair manuals, service bulletins, Airworthiness Directives.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to use a computer for extended period of time.
• Ability to climb, walk and crawl in confined spaces.
• Correctable vision to 20/20.
• Ability to visually discriminate quality from defective workmanship.
