Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Aviation Project Engineer to join the Infrastructure group in Florida. The role focuses on designing and managing airside and landside airport projects, with emphasis on FAA standards and a collaborative, client-focused environment.

The position may be based in Tampa or other Florida locations and requires a BS in Civil Engineering with a Florida P.E. license or eligibility, plus 6+ years of relevant experience. Office-based with potential for field work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with Florida P.E. eligibility.
• P.E. license in Florida or ability to attain within 6 months.
• 6+ years of experience in airport infrastructure and transportation design.

Responsibilities

• Design and post-design efforts on aviation airport improvements (pavement, drainage, utilities, landside/site).
• Coordinate and direct technical staff to develop high-quality deliverables.
• Review plans for conformance with scope of services and standards.
• May be responsible for review and sealing of own projects.
• Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
• Interact with Stantec clients.
• Develop/review policies, methods, practices, and procedures; ensure FAA design standards compliance.
