Aviation Project Engineer

We are seeking to hire an Aviation Project Engineer to work on a variety of complex local airport projects with agency and private clients. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience and hold a PE license.

Location

This role offers a hybrid work schedule and can be based at any of our 45 locations, including Atlanta, GA; Denver, CO; Bellevue, Grand Island, Lincoln, Omaha in Nebraska; Kansas City, Wichita, Topeka, Manhattan in Kansas; Kansas City, MO; and Nashville, TN. Remote work options are also available.

The Impact You Will Have
  • Design elements such as pavement, drainage, utilities, lighting/NAVAIDS, security, and fuel facilities
  • Ensure quality control in project design calculation files
  • Manage plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items
  • Coordinate and review drafting and plan set assembly
  • Develop and oversee task work plans for team members
  • Engage in active team communication and organize technical meetings
  • Perform occasional field observations, including out-of-town travel
  • Participate in professional organizations
What You Will Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Experience with FAA design standards
  • P.E. license or in the process of obtaining one
  • Advanced proficiency in CADD
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform complex analysis and design
  • Capability to assemble comprehensive design packages
  • Effective team collaboration skills
