Job summary

STV, Inc. in Los Angeles is seeking a Project Director/Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale aviation and terminal development programs on site at the client location.

You will provide executive-level leadership across concurrent projects, oversee planning through turnover, and coordinate with airport authorities, consultants, and contractors. The role emphasizes safety, schedule adherence, budget control, and delivering operational readiness in a busy market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Aviation Management, or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in large-scale aviation, infrastructure, or terminal development projects.
• Experience leading complex airport terminal projects and capital programs.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in highly operational environments.
• Knowledge of project delivery methodologies (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CMAR, Progressive Design-Build).
• Experience with project controls: scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and construction administration.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work with executive leadership, public agencies, airlines, contractors, and technical teams.
• Understanding of aviation industry regulations, airport coordination, and ORAT considerations.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for aviation and terminal development programs aligned with client objectives.
• Lead multiple concurrent aviation projects and integrated workstreams across planning, design, procurement, construction, and turnover.
• Develop and implement strategies to drive schedule adherence, cost control, and risk mitigation.
• Establish governance structures, reporting, and performance metrics for program health.
• Ensure projects comply with FAA regulations, airport standards, and safety protocols.
• Serve as a senior client-facing representative with airport authorities and stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop project leadership staff across the aviation delivery group.
