Job summary

Environmental Science Associates (ESA) is seeking an Entry Level Aviation Planner in Florida to support aviation planning and environmental projects. The role requires 0-3 years of experience, with preference for 1+ year(s).

A hybrid schedule from ESA’s Florida offices is preferred, and a writing sample may be requested during interviews. You will work on airport master plans, layout plans, site selection studies, obstruction analyses, forecasting, and environmental evaluations as part of a

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aviation planning, aviation management, or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and common software used in planning.
• Experience with AutoCAD and ESRI ArcGIS preferred.
• Familiarity with aviation industry and planning regulations.
• Ability to prepare written planning documents and reports.
• Ability to pass a 10-year background check.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Support aviation team on airport master plans, layout plans, site selection studies, and related analyses.
• Conduct data collection, surveys, and research for aviation projects.
• Interpret land use and environmental regulations and assist with document updates.
• Prepare reports, maps, and working papers for projects.
• Participate in client meetings and stakeholder workshops.
• Develop technical skills through training activities.
