Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years purchasing experience, with at least one year in aviation.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic software packages.

Responsibilities

• Compiles records and reports.
• Purchases supplies.
• Data entry of all purchase orders.
• Calling, faxing or mailing to vendors of all new purchase orders.
• Confers with vendors to obtain price, availability, and delivery schedule
• Prepares purchase orders or bid requests.
• Contacts vendors to find out status of an order.
• Contacts vendors with discrepancies with quantity and quality.
• Prepares routine bid specifications.
• Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
