Job summary

Geisinger Life Flight seeks a Paramedic to provide paramedic level care under Act 37, credentialed by the Life Flight medical director, and to work with Flight Nurses in the Emergency Department. The role serves patients from birth to over 100 years and may be assigned to any Life Flight site as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience is required.
• Basic Life Support certification is required; Paramedic certification is required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides paramedic level advanced life support until patient care is relinquished to accepting facility.
• Maintains thorough patient care documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Practices within the paramedic scope of practice per guidelines and protocols.
• Maintains competency via ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.
• Acts as a clinical resource and preceptor; participates in orientation of new employees and students.
