The candidate will develop quantitative models, evaluate software outputs, and contribute to process improvements while supporting FAA staff training. Extensive experience in OR, engineering or related fields is required, with a 40-hour work week and potential 24x7 coverage.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or related field required.
• 10+ years of professional experience in OR/engineering roles.
• Strong ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Experience with data collection and modeling for large-scale systems.

Responsibilities

• Apply OR methods to optimize NAS strategic deconfliction plans.
• Collaborate with FAA stakeholders and external partners to obtain data.
• Develop quantitative operational research models for scenarios meeting objectives.
• Evaluate outputs of specialized software used for air traffic deconfliction.
• Document lessons learned and process improvements for FAA programs.
• Support FAA staff training on new traffic flow management processes.
