Job summary

The Inland Group of Companies is hiring a Mechanic (IDS IND) in Indianapolis, IN. You will maintain trucks, support vehicles, and ground service equipment, ensuring safety and reliability at the primary site with occasional support to other stations.

Essential duties include scheduling maintenance, following procedures, reading manuals and schematics, troubleshooting electrical/hydraulic systems, and keeping precise maintenance records. Growth opportunities and on-the-job training are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid US driver’s license.
• Must be able to speak, hear, read, and write in English.
• Have basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Own a basic tools set up to 1 inch, and up to 1/2 inch drive.
• Welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for local maintenance scheduling and performance to ensure equipment dependability.
• Perform all duties of a skilled maintenance technician following recognized procedures for such work.
• Ability to read and use maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, schematics, blueprints, drawings, and other related maintenance documents to complete work assignments
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic problems and resolve within an established timeframe
• Maintain complete and accurate maintenance records and conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections on equipment
