MANTECH seeks a motivated Aviation Mechanic to join our team in Panama City, FL. This is an onsite position requiring U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance.

The role focuses on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft systems, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and readiness. The successful candidate will use manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools, document actions, and coordinate with engineers and supply personnel to ensure mission readiness.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in aviation or LCAC related maintenance, aircraft structures, powerplants, or systems.
  • Experience using diagnostic tools, maintenance tracking systems, and test equipment.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with common hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as torque wrench, feeler gauge, and micrometer.

  • Communicate professionally with MANTECH employees and MANTECH clients
  • Perform miscellaneous assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed.
  • Travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in aviation or LCAC related maintenance, aircraft structures, powerplants, or systems
  • Experience using diagnostic tools, maintenance tracking systems, and test equipment
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems
  • Experience with common hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as: Torque Wrench, Feeler Gauge, Micrometer, etc
  • Experience interpreting written instructions and specifications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on military aircraft platforms.
  • Familiarity with DoD maintenance practices and reporting systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse technical team.
Clearance Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship required and an active secret security clearance or ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance before starting
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 Lbs.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • Work in confined/restricted spaces.
  • Climb and descend ladders.
