Job summary

Amentum in Groton, CT is seeking a Material Coordinator to analyze APSL levels and revise stockage in support of MDS fleets. You will requisition materials, arrange in-plant transfers, and coordinate with department supervisors to meet production schedules.

You will also maintain records, monitor inventories, receive and issue tools, and ensure proper handling of equipment; the role requires US citizenship for facility credentials and the ability to work in semi-office/ hanger environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of Material Coordinator experience.
• Two or more years in support of aviation supply.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization—NAC-I T1 Public Trust; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated material availability.
• Arrange for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules and coordinate with supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to departments.
• Maintain records, review inventory and work orders to determine types, quantities, and availability of material; monitor supply levels and provide additional support as needed.
• Receive, store, and issue hand tools, tool kits, replacement parts, shop supplies and related equipment; attach identification tags or engrave information on tools.
• Load/unload freight cars and trucks; unpack, shelve, and store items; verify materials against receiving documents and report discrepancies.
