Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical tasks, troubleshoot systems, and support inspections on civilian aircraft. The role involves removing/installing panels, operating ground support equipment, and reporting progress to the Lead Mechanic.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and an Airframe & Powerplant license, with willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and A&P license required.
• Valid driver's license for airline travel and/or passport ideal.
• Ability to navigate electronic training, manuals and maintenance databases.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Removal and installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system issues.
• Engine removal/ installations.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Inspection and evaluation of aircraft and components.
• Communicate clearly in English.
• Notify Lead Mechanic of any problem areas and report progress.
