Job summary

West Star Aviation seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) in Grand Junction, CO for a full-time, on-site role. Expect hands-on work with aircraft systems, engine work, inspections, and routine maintenance, with FAA guideline adherence.

Compensation ranges from $30 to $46 per hour and includes benefits starting at day one. AMT I–IV paths are available, requiring Airframe/Powerplant licenses and increasing years of aviation maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe license preferred.
• 0-2 years of aviation maintenance experience for AMT I; 2-4 years for AMT II; 4-6+ years for AMT III; 6+ years for AMT IV.
• High school diploma or equivalent and valid driver’s license or passport preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Removal and installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and solve aircraft system issues.
• Defuel aircraft.
• Engine removal and installations.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Inspect aircraft and components.
• Communicate in English clearly (written and spoken).
• Follow FAA guidelines and company safety rules.
