Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Perryville, MO. The role focuses on mechanical tasks, troubleshooting, and engine work on sophisticated civilian aircraft.

You’ll perform inspections, operate ground support equipment, and work under FAA guidelines in a dynamic hangar environment. Ideal candidates hold a High School diploma or equivalent and an Airframe & Powerplant license, with a valid driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and an A&P license required.
• Driver’s license ideal for travel; passport is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system issues.
• Conduct engine removal and installations.
• Operate ground support equipment safely.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components; document findings.
• Assist in performance runs and taxiing; coordinate with Lead Mechanic.
• Maintain shop equipment and tools; follow FAA guidelines.
