Job summary

Yingling Aviation, Inc. in Wichita, KS is hiring entry-level Aircraft Technicians for the Piston/Turboprop Maintenance department. You’ll support certificated mechanics on inspections, modifications and repairs while pursuing an A&P certificate or specialty path.

No aviation experience is required for entry-level placement; pay starts at $26–$30 hourly, with experienced candidates earning higher starting rates. The role is full-time, on-site with a clear pay ladder and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• No A&P certificate required; A&P in progress is a plus.
• No aviation experience required for entry-level placement; other backgrounds welcome.
• Must own and maintain basic hand tools.
• Commitment to safety and clean, FOD-free work area.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, cleaning, lubrication, filter servicing, panel removal/installation, and routine preventive tasks.
• Assist certificated mechanics on inspections, events, modifications and repairs.
• Help tow, jack and position aircraft and assist with hangar movements.
• Locate and follow AMM, IPC, and Corridor task references.
• Tag removed parts and prepare documentation for QA review.
• Use standard and specialized tools and ground support equipment safely.
• Maintain organized work area and report safety/quality concerns.
