Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our Quality Assurance Department as a Quality Assurance (QA) Auditor at our state-of-the-art facility in Cleveland, Ohio. The role involves ensuring aircraft maintenance documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with various regulatory inspection programs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct quality audits and surveillance on maintenance work, including review of work order content, aircraft maintenance records, yellow tags, 8130-3’s, 337’s, STC’s, maintenance deferrals, weight & balance changes, AD’s, and SB’s to ensure aircraft airworthiness and compliance with FAA regulations and company manuals.
- Ensure RII requirements are met.
- Audit the computerized maintenance tracking program for accurate data entry.
- Verify all aircraft records, such as FO-501’s, yellow tags, 8130-3’s, are entered into electronic log books (Filenet).
- Review special flight permits for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of company programs, systems, processes, and procedures.
- Conduct external audits to ensure vendor maintenance network compliance with standards and regulations.
- Update aircraft profiles in the computerized maintenance tracking system for new aircraft.
- Perform CFR 135 conformity inspections to ensure aircraft meet standards for our air carrier certificate.
- Audit aircraft maintenance templates to verify tasks align with inspection programs and manuals.
- Track and report aircraft not meeting RVSM standards until compliance is restored.
- Ensure weight and balance amendments and aircraft weighing are accurately performed and documented.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- 1-3 years of relevant aviation experience, preferably with corporate aircraft.
- At least 2 years conducting aircraft inspections.
- FAA A&P license required.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively within a team.
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
