Job summary

United Airlines is seeking a skilled Technical Operations professional to oversee station maintenance coordination. You will liaise with Station Operations Center, Aircraft Routing, Dispatch, and Flight Crews to keep aircraft on track.

Responsibilities include handling maintenance discrepancies, tracking deferred items, and updating logs. Ideal candidates have an FAA A&P certificate, at least five years in maintenance, and a proven leadership record.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • FAA A&P Certificate.
  • 5 years in the aircraft maintenance industry.
  • Contract and regulatory experience.
  • Meets or exceeds operational performance goals including on-time performance, maintenance check span, productivity & safety objectives.
  • Meets or exceeds business plan objectives.
  • Identifies the need for change and / or improvement and executes the same involving the appropriate people and level of resources as needed.
  • Builds and maintains professional and productive work environment for labor groups and management teams.
  • Effectively communicates with employees of all levels aligning the team for success.
  • Extensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations and applicable FAA regulations.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the station Technical Operations department in a professional manner while coordinating with other departments within Station Operations Center, Aircraft Routing, Aircraft Dispatch, and Flight Crews.
  • Receive and coordinate recovery of maintenance discrepancies and track scheduled deferred items.
  • Notify and communicate the status of aircraft that are out of service or on a maintenance delay to Maintenance Control and Local Operations.
  • Coordinate and track planned maintenance efforts for thru flights.
  • Initiate and update TOC and AMIS logs on aircraft out of service or in planned holds with significant maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate station supplier requirements necessary to support maintenance activities.
  • Identify and communicate maintenance troubleshooting and repair procedures as required.
  • Ensure delay reports are entered and delay data compiled for tracking and analysis.
