Job summary

Cuesta College is seeking a Full-Time Tenure Track Aviation Maintenance (AVMT) Instructor to teach and lead within the AVMT Department. The position may require day, evening, and weekend classes at the AVMT facility at SLO County Regional Airport (KSBP), with additional college and departmental responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Any Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and two years of professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment; equivalency may be considered.
• Valid Community College credential in the discipline (If received prior to 1990, the credential is no longer issued).
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant Licensure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Developing and teaching AVMT courses.
• Prioritizing student success and mentoring efforts.
• Teaching a broad range of AVMT courses and developing curricula to meet FAA standards.
• Collaborating with faculty in other disciplines.
