West Star Aviation Inc. in Chattanooga, TN is hiring an Interior Upholstery Technician for the 2nd shift (Mon–Thu, 3pm–1am). The role involves repair, refurbishment and reinstallation of aircraft interior upholstery, including seats and panels.

You will remove/install seats, disassemble, clean, repair and modify components as needed, under the Team Leader's guidance. Responsibilities include completing turnover sheets, maintaining shop facilities, and using basic computer tools to access manuals

Qualifications

• Experience in upholstery on aviation, auto, RV, marine or related field is preferred at higher levels.
• Ability to perform basic to advanced foam build ups and sewing of seat parts.
• Ability to pattern, modify and repair interior components as needed.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety in a shop environment.
• Comfort with basic computer references to training manuals and data.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in English and work with team members.

Responsibilities

• Repair, refurbishment and reinstallation of interior upholstery components on aircraft.
• Remove and install seats, disassemble, clean, repair and modify components as needed.
• Follow daily turnover sheets and maintain shop facilities and tools.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment used for upholstery work.
• Assist in documentation and ensure quality and safety standards.
• Communicate with Team Leader and other technicians; work independently when required.
