Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Interior Finisher/Painter in Statesville, NC. As an Interior Finish Technician, you will handle interior finish processes, including wood finishes on assigned aircraft, gloss and satin applications, and sanding hardwood to apply the finish.

This role requires 2–5 years of wood finishing experience, knowledge of stains, lacquers and safety procedures, and the ability to read and follow FAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in wood finishing processes or related fields (e.g., auto refinishing, collision repair). Aircraft finishing experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license ideal but not required.
• Ability to read/write/speak English and follow FAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior finish processes on assigned aircraft, including wood finishes and varying gloss/satin applications.
• Sand hardwood as needed to apply the finish.
• Identify colors and color matches; understand stains, lacquers, clear coats.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and safety; work under the Finish Team Leader.
