Job summary

Tyonek Native Corp is seeking an experienced Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic in Jacksonville, FL. The role involves diagnosing malfunctions, repairing GSE, and training junior staff.

The incumbent will use digital meters, oscilloscopes, and various tools to ensure equipment safety and readiness for aircraft operations. The ideal candidate has at least four years of Naval Aviation GSE experience, is a US citizen, and can obtain a Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of four years as a Naval Aviation Ground Support Mechanic performing inspection maintenance, repair and modification of powered ground support equipment.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

• Disassembles and assembles malfunctioning GSE accessories and components, removes, disassembles repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls GSE components and accessories, stencils and marks GSE in accordance with technical publications.
• Stores, handles, labels, uses, and disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations.
• Prepares GSE for storage and mobility deployment.
• Operates, cleans, inspects, and services GSE towing vehicles.
• In addition to maintaining vehicle records, this mechanic maintains, and updates paper, and electronic equipment records.
• Provides dispatch service for GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations.
• Practices good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention, and safety at all times.
• Other duties as assigned
