Job summary

Elite Line Services (ELS) is seeking a skilled mechanic to perform maintenance and repair on ground support equipment. The role includes handling automotive, electrical, and hydraulic systems, training junior mechanics, and following manuals and safety protocols.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of mechanic experience, and own tools. Travel may be required, and weekends/holidays shifts are possible.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years experience as heavy, medium or light duty mechanic.
  • Ability to read and understand basic electrical/hydraulic schematics.
  • Must have own set of hand tools.
  • Travel may be required depending on location.
  • Be able to work non-traditional schedules including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of general workplace safety requirements and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and repairs ground support equipment and facilities.
  • Performs complex maintenance assignments involving automotive, electrical, systems, and related trade skills.
  • Trains, mentors and guides Jr. GSE Mechanics.
  • Reads and interprets repair manuals and schematics and follows supervisor/manager instructions.
  • Works in tight or high spaces with PPE and fall protection.
  • Completes forms and uses a computer for communications and administrative tasks.
  • Complies with safety programs and procedures.
