Job summary

The U.S. Coast Guard, part of the Department of Homeland Security, is seeking a General Equipment Mechanic (WG-4737-8) for USCG Air Station Atlantic City in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.

You will perform maintenance on aviation ground support equipment (AGSE), inspections, and MSR/SR tasks to support daily flight schedules. Typical duties include preventive and corrective maintenance on AGSE, fueling equipment, forklift operation for unit storage, and procurement through the Aviation Material

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining aviation ground support equipment (AGSE).
• Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Familiarity with MSR/SR requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on AGSE used by Air Station Atlantic City.
• Inspect and service fuel trucks and related equipment.
• Operate forklifts and manage unit storage areas.
• Procure parts and services through the Aviation Material Office.
• Administer Hazardous Material programs and MSDS review.
