Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking an Airport Equipment Maintenance Technician in Austin, TX. The role involves repairing and rebuilding airport service vehicles, including trucks, carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks, with focus on gas/diesel engines and hydraulic/electrical systems.

Responsibilities include inspections, fluid checks, preventive maintenance, and safety-compliant operations to keep our aircraft services teams functioning efficiently.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years mechanical experience or graduates of technical schools.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must possess valid US driver’s license.
• Must be comfortable lifting/moving 70lbs.
• All mechanics are required to perform duties of other positions when needed.
• HS Diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience/training.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and repair gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on refueling equipment and maintain records.
• Ensure aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing preventative care and timely repairs.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment per health, safety, and security policies.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual quality control checks on the equipment.
• Conduct accident inspections on involved equipment.
