Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support ground equipment maintenance and overhaul, ensuring safe operation and compliance. You will troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, test, and assemble equipment in service or undergoing modification.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift heavy parts, and may require a CDL depending on the assignment; a valid US driver's license is essential, with shifting schedules including weekends.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license; ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Possession of CDL may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Bend, stoop, and crawl to work in tight spaces such as fuel cells and aircraft belly areas.
• Push, pull, lift up to 60 pounds during assembly, disassembly, repair or installation.
• Drive vehicles weighing up to 10 tons (up to 40 tons in some assignments) in congested areas.
• Work with color coded wiring and related components requiring color differentiation.
• Operate a variety of tools, including power tools, during maintenance tasks.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals and complete paperwork as required.
• Report to work regularly and on time.
• May require Commercial Driver's License (CDL) depending on assignment; may be subject to random DOT testing.
