Job summary

Menzies Aviation, Chicago O'Hare, IL, seeks an on-site technician to troubleshoot, repair and maintain aircraft-ground-support components such as pumps, valves and gauges. You will work outdoors and across shifts at ORD, ensuring safety and reliability of fueling and ground equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to pass pre-employment checks including drug testing, a valid driver’s license, and the physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to pass all pre-employment tests including drug screen.
• Capable of safely lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Able to read and write in English and interpret documents.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems using test equipment, stats, manufacturer specs, and blueprints.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pumps, valves, vessels, hydrant pits, gauges, switches, motors, lights, heaters, meters, hoses, etc.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain records related to maintenance.
• Support Gauger position as needed.
• Adhere to attendance and safety rules; perform other duties as assigned.
