Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician in the Chicago area to perform regular inspection and repair of fuel system components and related equipment. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, including PLCs, ensuring safe, compliant operations.

Under supervision, you will maintain tools and records, follow ATA and safety guidelines, and coordinate with managers and contractors to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 3 years of experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting/repair.
• Experience with industrial process controls and automation used in petroleum facilities is preferred.
• Electrical and PLC knowledge with ability to read schematics and operate diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic maintenance and inspections on fuel system equipment and related facilities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues to restore normal operations.
• Work under supervision to diagnose problems and implement safe, efficient repairs.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and maintenance records with attention to safety regulations.
• Collaborate with site management and external contractors as needed.
