Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Grapevine, TX, is hiring an Accounting Manager to oversee the general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close. You will provide technical accounting guidance and drive process improvements across finance teams to support profitability and regulatory compliance.

The role requires CPA, a Bachelor's in accounting, and strong Excel skills. Leadership experience and Big Four background are valued.

Qualifications

CPA certification is required.
Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
Big Four public accounting experience is preferred but not required.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Proficiency in Excel and strong analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

Assist with managing the month-end close process.
Manage and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations; clear reconciling items timely.
Maintain the general ledger with audit support for journal entries.
Review financial statements and related adjustments.
Coordinate audits (financial, regulatory, station, etc.).
Provide technical accounting guidance to the Finance team.
Collaborate across G/L, A/P, A/R, Tax, Billing and Payroll to resolve issues.
Identify and implement process improvements for timely financial reporting.
Develop internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate reporting.
Lead interviewing, hiring, and training; manage staff performance.
