Job summary

Gulfstream is seeking a Night Shift Aircraft Mechanic in Savannah, GA. You will install parts and components, rig control cables and landing gear, and work from prints, specifications, and procedures to ensure quality and conformance.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and 3 years in aerospace/aviation or equivalent mechanical experience; A&P license preferred. Must be able to enter confined spaces and lift up to 50 lbs; safety and 5S rules apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience.
• A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
• Must be able to work night shift and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and adjust aircraft structure parts and system components.
• Rig control cables, sectors, linkages, control surfaces, landing gear and doors, engines, cowls, entry doors, and related hardware.
• Remove and replace system components; cut and fit lines and hardware to enable repairs.
• Install system lines, valves, ducts, and hardware; ensure leak-free operation.
• Use tools to complete installations and perform minor structural work.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and structural problems and mentor junior mechanics.
