Job summary

Jet Midwest, located at the Kansas City International Airport Area, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep our facilities and equipment in top operating condition. You will perform inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance, and support daily tasks, including ground support equipment, tooling, safety devices, and building systems.

Hands-on roles require climbing, lifting up to 50 lb, and using ladders or lifts.

Qualifications

• High-energy, eager to learn and grow quickly.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to self-direct or work in a team to complete tasks.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Experience with CMMS/work ticketing systems.
• Strong knowledge of safety, OSHA, HazMat and EH hazards.
• Experience in an older facility.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience performing systems maintenance and troubleshooting on industrial equipment.
• 0–1 years of experience in: overhead doors maintenance, reading schematics & wiring diagrams, carpentry, shelving, gantry cranes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Jet Midwest facilities and equipment to high operational readiness and safety.
• Provide support and assistance with maintenance tasks.
• Assist team with daily work assignments, vendor communication, work tickets, and progress reporting.
