Job summary

American Airlines is seeking a skilled welder/facilities technician to perform welding, fabrication, and maintenance tasks across airport facilities in Tulsa, OK. The role requires reading and following safety procedures, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with FAA and company policies.

The candidate should have 36+ months of related experience, a valid driver's license, and be ready to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, in an outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• AWS Certified Welder certification preferred or required.
• Experience welding, fabrication and maintenance in industrial environments.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• FAA background checks for access to security areas may be required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, and install building components and equipment.
• Execute welding and fabrication tasks using SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW processes.
• Perform general building maintenance and facility upgrades.
• Maintain security access controls and office/facility locks.
• Coordinate with vendors and escort teams on site as needed.
• Follow safety policies and complete required trainings.
• Wear appropriate uniforms and PPE; operate relevant electronic systems.
