Job description

Three full-time positions available with the Aviation Department, Facilities Structural Division, located at 947 Mexico City Avenue.

Normal Workdays/Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Job Responsibilities

• Performs work in all phases of electrical maintenance including installation, troubleshooting, and repair of high voltage circuitry.

• Repairs and rebuilds a variety of components and lighting fixtures associated with lighting in the KCI terminal buildings.

• Operates heavy equipment used in the repair of directly buried circuitry.

• Operates heavy snow removal equipment and will be required to clear snow during emergency snow removal events.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRES high school graduation and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience performing routine and moderately complex electrical maintenance and repair work; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience. Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license in accordance with City of KCMO policies. May be required to possess a valid MO Class A, B, or C CDL prior to the end of the probationary period as determined by the department. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.
