Absolute Aviation is seeking a qualified engineer to join our Washington-based team. You will reverse engineer, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft components, creating documentation for FAA approval and PMA processes.

You’ll design test fixtures using SolidWorks and Altium, and collaborate with design teams to solve complex challenges. The role requires a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree with at least two years of relevant experience, strong technical writing, and a commitment to

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering plus at least two years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and regulations.
• Strong technical writing and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with FAA regulatory expectations and PMA processes.

Aufgaben

• Reverse engineer, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical aircraft components.
• Establish measurement tolerances using industry practices.
• Create, revise, and review designs in SolidWorks and Altium PCB.
• Design electrical or mechanical test fixtures and procedures.
• Create PMA and repair documentation for FAA/submittals.
• Collaborate with design teams to solve problems and select suppliers.
• Release and maintain engineering documentation in a PLM system.
• Support project deadlines and team goals.
