Job summary

StandardAero in Minnesota is seeking a licensed aircraft engine mechanic to maintain, repair and overhaul turbine engines, modules and accessories in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards. You will work with a collaborative team to ensure flight and product reliability.

Responsibilities include disassembly/assembly, precision inspections with micrometers, and troubleshooting. Travel up to 25% may be required; strong safety and quality focus is essential.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-5 years of experience in gas turbine engine maintenance and repair.
  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant license required or must be acquired within 1 year of job award.
  • Experience with turbine engines in aerospace field.
  • Ability to read micrometers and precision measuring instruments.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair turbine engines on or off wing.
  • Disassemble and assemble turbine engines according to sequence.
  • Inspect engine parts with precision measuring tools and detect defects.
  • Evaluate parts for repairability or scrap and document findings.
  • Perform NDT as required by regulations and publications.
  • Travel may be required up to 25% and maintain documentation.
