Dallas City Hall is seeking an Electrician - Aviation to install, repair, and maintain electrical systems across city facilities, including airports and plants. The role requires adherence to federal, state, and city codes and the ability to work across shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities include testing circuits, maintaining switchgear, and training apprentices. A Texas Journeyman Electrician license and reliable driving record are required for this Civil Service position.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and ability to install, repair, and maintain large high voltage equipment, motors, switchgear.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations.
• Read schematics and blueprints; troubleshoot electrical systems.

Responsabilités

• Install, test, and troubleshoot electrical equipment, lighting, and power circuits.
• Develop and implement maintenance plans and renovation projects.
• Inspect systems for hazards and compliance with codes.
• Document work and assist with apprentice guidance and timecards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and install/repair fixtures per diagrams.
• Read blueprints to locate equipment and ensure safety compliance.
• Assist with other trades as needed.
