Job summary

Langan is seeking a Civil Engineering Practice Lead for its expanding national aviation practice. This role leads strategic growth, oversees design teams, and strengthens client relationships across the U.S.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive civil engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• PE registration in at least one US state.
• Design experience on FAA and airport projects.
• Experience leading staff on aviation projects.
• Experience in business development with project wins.
• Ability to hire, manage, and mentor staff.
• Knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the national aviation practice and drive growth.
• Build and manage client relationships for aviation projects nationwide.
• Lead civil design, drawings, specs, and cost estimates for landside/airside works.
• Provide leadership and supervision to design staff.
• Support talent acquisition for aviation practice.
• Develop and implement airport development strategies (federal/state programs).
• Collaborate with other disciplines to cross-sell aviation services.
