About us: Will Smith Aviation is a growing Air charter operator dedicated to excellence in private charters, aircraft acquisitions /sales and aircraft management. With a reputation for precision, safety and service, we are seeking a detail oriented aviation bookkeeper to join our finance team.

Position Overview: The Aviation bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records specific to aviation operations, including tracking aircraft expenses, reconciling maintenance and fuel costs, managing accounts payable and recievable and reporting. Ideal candidates will have strong bookkeeping experience, preferably within the aviation or transportation sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions related to aircraft operations
• Maintain ledgers, invoices, and financial records in compliance with aviation accounting standards
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments and client invoicing
• Track and categorize costs such as fuel, maintenance, hangar fees, and pilot expenses
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Support annual audits and ensure FAA/DOT financial documentation compliance
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure cost accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• 3+ years of experience in related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and QuickBooks
• Familiarity with aviation related expenses and billing processes a plus
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
