Job summary

Parker Aerospace is seeking an Assembly & Test Operator in Mentor, Ohio for 2nd shift. The role involves performing a range of assembly and test functions with minimal supervision, using gages and measuring equipment to ensure assemblies meet customer specifications and dimensional requirements.

Responsibilities include following procedures, deburring, calibration checks, recording results, and interpreting orders and quality directives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
• Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics.
• Must demonstrate effective English verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to complex assembly and test functions with minimal supervision.
• Hand deburr as required.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated per schedule.
• Produce and inspect assemblies for conformance to specifications.
• Rework malfunctions identified by test data.
• Record test results on data forms.
• Interpret engineering orders, assembly routes, test specs and quality directives.
• Maintain a safe, FOD-free work area.
• Operate automatic weld machines if needed.
• Perform related duties as required.
