Job summary

dnata Catering in Everett, MA is seeking an Asian Specialty Cook to support airline clients by preparing high-quality Asian dishes and sauces for VIP and first-class service.

You will collaborate with the culinary team, execute specialized recipes, monitor ingredients, ensure proper storage, and maintain HACCP standards while delivering visually appealing meals in a fast-paced kitchen with flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in producing Asian cuisine.
• Flexibility to perform assigned tasks independently or as part of a team.
• Formal training in food safety; regulatory compliance a plus.
• HACCP knowledge.
• Excellent attention to detail and self-organized.
• Ability to deal with a heavy workload.
• Flexibility (different shifts - night, weekends, holidays).
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work with tight deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
• Strong prioritization skills and the ability to perform multiple tasks.
• Valid food handler's certificate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Experience in producing high-volume, high-quality food from menus.
• Must have experience with various cooking duties – (grilling, preparing sauces, etc.)
• Operating a traditional Asian cuisine cooking such items as meat and vegetables.
• Preparing Asian cuisines sauces, and desserts as per standard and style set by the Head Chef(s)
• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, burners/pans, and other cooking equipment
• Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of traditional Asian cuisine including desserts.
• Ensure the correct preparation and presentation standard of the dishes is always maintained.
• Demonstrating tandoor techniques and cooking procedures to other staff if require
• Storing food in temperature-controlled freezers
• Checking on food supplies and advising the supervisor of any requirements
• Knowledge of HACCP/GMP is a plus, must comply with proper food handling policies and procedures.
