Job description

This opportunity involves working as an Aviation Architectural Project Manager based in our Atlanta, GA Project office at ATL Airport. Join our Aviation Team to contribute to projects that meet client objectives and solve their challenges.

Our Aviation Technical Excellence Center offers engineering and planning services for airport facilities and terminals, supporting WSP's global projects. The Aviation team manages multiple projects concurrently, collaborating closely with other technical departments.

Your Impact
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with strong interpersonal skills, enabling clear and effective presentations to clients, contractors, staff, and management.
  • Proactive risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with Core and Shell projects, coordination with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of design drawings, scope, schedule, and budget management.
  • Development of project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
  • Management of Operational Readiness Activation Transition (ORAT).
  • Participation in technical contract negotiations, presentations, and meetings.
  • Knowledge of review and approval processes for progress payments, including Tenant Reimbursable Agreements (TRA).
  • Maintaining clear communication and contractual relationships among Owner, Contractor, Staff, and Design Team.
  • Ability to supervise field teams such as CMAR and third-party consultants, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in aviation, Owner’s Representation, and Construction Management.
  • Ability to review contract documentation at all project stages.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/construction drawings.
  • Knowledge of FAA advisory circulars and procedures.
  • Extensive airside and landside experience at large U.S. commercial airports.
  • Ability to effectively manage industry, government, and public contracts.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Valid driver's license meeting company standards.
  • Responsible decision-making regarding company resources, adhering to WSP's Code of Conduct.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with health, safety, and harassment policies.
  • Ability to obtain necessary airport security badges and pass background checks; proof of work authorization required within 3 days of start date.
