Job summary

Aims Community College seeks an aviation faculty member to teach courses aligned with 14 CFR Part 141 curriculum. The role emphasizes developing course materials, professional development, and collaboration on governance initiatives. Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities include mentoring students, evaluating textbooks, and maintaining currency in the aviation field, with day/evening teaching at the Windsor Campus.

Qualifications

• Associate of applied science degree or higher plus FAA CFI or Ground Instructor with flight hours.
• Commercial Pilot Certificate or ATP – ASEL; CFI – Airplane and Instrument; Multi-Engine Instructor.
• Must hold or qualify for a post-secondary vocational aviation credential.

Responsibilities

• Instruct aviation courses including 14 CFR Part 141 approved curriculum.
• Participate in professional development and curriculum design.
• Mentor students and participate in governance and committees.
• Travel occasionally as required.
