Job summary

VSE in the United States seeks an Aviation Accessory Technician II (USI3) to perform maintenance and alterations on civil aviation articles in accordance with manufacturer data and FAA-approved directives. Duties include assembling accessories, testing on benches, using precision tools, and documenting repair work orders.

Minimum 2+ years in aviation maintenance with the ability to read technical manuals and drawings, attention to detail, and strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant/technical work experience.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, hand tools, and test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical data and drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assemble limited fuel controls, or limited governors, or all fuel, oil, or air accessories.
• Test limited fuel, oil, or air accessories on provided testing benches.
• Utilize hand tools and precision measuring instruments daily.
• Read and interpret technical data and drawings.
• Document maintenance records of repair work orders performed.
• Troubleshoot components to determine root cause of failures.
• Work with QA and engineering to resolve issues.
